Being on a weight loss diet plan does not necessarily mean that you have to give up all of your favorite treats.

After all, who wouldn’t like to sit back and relax with a glass of milk and some cookies? Here are some great low fat cookies recipes for you to try out.

Low Fat Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

1.Packed brown sugar: ¼ cup

2.Granulated sugar: ½ cup

3.Vanilla: 1 teaspoon

4.Margarine, softened: ¼ cup

5.All purpose flour: 1 cup

6.Egg white: 1

7.Salt: ¼ teaspoon

8.Baking soda: ½ teaspoon

9.Semisweet chocolate chips: ½ cup

Preparation

Heat your oven to 375oF. Mix the margarine, vanilla, egg white and the sugars in a large mixing bowl. Now stir in the baking soda and flour, followed by the salt. Then add the chocolate chips and stir. Drop the dough in rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet, around 2 inches apart from each other. Now bake for about 8 – 10 minutes till it turns golden brown. Let it cool a bit and then remove the cookies from the sheet. Set it to cool on a wire rack. This preparation will yield 30 servings.

Low Fat Ginger Cookies

10.Baking soda: 1 teaspoon

Beat the applesauce, molasses, brown sugar and the egg in a large mixing bowl until it is smooth. Now, keep aside the white sugar and mix the remaining ingredients in another bowl. Stir this mixture into the wet mix in the larger mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Preheat the oven to 350oF. Take the dough and make small walnut sized balls. Roll the balls in the white sugar. Now place each ball 2 inches apart on the greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 – 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and set it to cool on a wire rack. This preparation will yield 36 servings.
