In this edition of tactical packs to conclude I have the honor to do another great hands on review of this great pack.
My first instinct were markedly positive. It's like a kid in a candy store. But this was better than being in a candy store. This 3-day assault pack was way sweeter than candy.
Alright enough of the candy sweets.
But anyways back to my opinion.
Quick history if a number of of you out there don't know in the past.
The man behind Mystery Ranch is Dana Gleason.Located in Bozeman,MT.With his 30 year background in the backpacking industry Dana has been there and done that. With his hands on approach in the design aspect of making a back pack shows why he is great at what he does.Dana relies on the people on his working crew and in association with people who uses their gear. This in turn he will get back positive and negative feed backs. This is great and Dana will look to improve more of the products he create. His philosophy is simple: Commit to the most comfortable and long time equipment doable.Because people out there depend on their gear to survive.
Ok.We are tracking.
My take on this 3-day pack was how well it's made. The construction and the stitching is incredible. You know that feeling inside when something is just made right and you agree to it. Well that's the feeling I get with this pack.I'll take a Mystery Ranch through a Eberlestock Halftrack any day to the field.Proud to say made in the USA.Aloha!! There is a lot of decisions to consider when choosing an assault or hunting back pack. First thing I would look for is the construction and how well it's made.Reason being is that when I'm out there on a mission or hunting I want my backpack to be capable to withstand the tough conditions.A failed equipment in the outdoors could mean a life or death sitiuation. Other things to consider is it must be water proof. Also another important circumstance to consider is an hydration system.Very importantly our bodies need to be hydrated apart from in hot or extreme cold weather conditions. The saying goes:you get what you pay for.And I directly agree 100 percent. There are economical tactical packs out there but look for a back pack that will last you a couple of years. My basic Army rucksack lasted 10 years and is still going from this day.
Ok.Lets talk about comfort in a tactical pack. How well your back pack will position on your back is markedly important. There are packs that come with foamed shoulder straps and waist belts.Depending on the manufacturer somtimes they cater to your specific body needs. The one that I have great experiences with is Eberlestock Halftrack tactical pack and the Mystery Ranch 3 day assault pack. Both are markedly great.Another great feature to consider is the PALS webbing that comes with the pack. This in my opinion is markedly neccessary if you want to attach additional utility pouches and such.Because all the things that extra carry that you stuff in your main will be very difficult to access when in need.So why not make your life easier.Consider the options and it will be well worth it when you decide to purchase that backpack you have been looking for.In my opinion the best two packs I can suggest is Kifaru and Mystery Ranch.Pricey?Yes.Worth buying the two mentioned packs?Definetely.
